This is to certify that on Jan 22nd and 24th 2013 at the Orthopaedic Unit of Sant’ Andrea La Sapienza University Hospital of Rome,directed by professor Andrea Ferretti ,three Total Knee Arthroplasties were successfully performed using the cemented Altius Buechel-Pappas High Flex Knee Replacement System. All the procedures were executed using the original and dedicated instrumentation with a high degree of satisfaction of the surgeons.In all cases the post Op. X-ray revealed an optimum placement of the components and in the immediate post Op. follow up all patients were able to start the rehabilitation without problems.On this basis of this preliminary experience we believe the Altius prosthesis could be considered as a good option in our future surgical activity in the field of TKA.
